From a simple idea to the heart of Preston
It started with a conversation — a shared belief that Preston deserved a space where everyone truly belongs. What began as a vision in early 2025 has quickly grown into something the whole community can call their own.
A group of passionate local residents came together with one goal: to create a warm, welcoming hub where families, young people, seniors, and neighbours could connect, grow, and support one another — with a food bank and community aid service at its heart. From the very first meeting, the energy was extraordinary — and PICC was born.
We are actively pursuing charitable status and council approval to formalise our work. Every session, every food pack distributed, every cup of coffee shared is a new chapter in a story that is just beginning. PICC is not just a community centre — it is proof that when people come together with purpose, something truly special happens.

Trust is our currency. We are fully transparent about how every penny is spent. Our 100% donation policy is not just a promise — it is enshrined in how we operate, year after year.
The 100% Promise
Trust is our most valuable asset. Every single penny you donate goes directly towards our charitable programmes and food bank services. Our core administrative costs are covered entirely by grants and private foundational support — never from your donations. We are currently progressing our charitable approval application and are committed to full financial transparency throughout this process.
How do you cover admin costs?
PICC applies for and receives grants from local government, national charitable foundations, and corporate partners specifically allocated to cover operational costs — salaries, utilities, and administration.
How can I verify this?
We operate with full openness. Our income, expenditure, and programme spending are shared with supporters on request. As we progress through our charitable approval process, full accounts will be published publicly.
How do donations support food bank services?
Donations fund our food assistance programmes directly — from assembling food packs for vulnerable families to providing warm meals at community sessions. Every pound reaches those in need, with nothing deducted.
